This extremely rare clock unlike the already rare makes of these has a very unique difference. A similar design was produced by smiths and you have probably seen them but they do not have the same bold characteristics of these Metamec Clocks. The Metamec are actually the better make and the most hardy and have better functions such as the on off loud silent tick. Bakelite restored and polished. Rewired with a 3 meter length cord and fused plug. This clock is gleaming. Even the hanging hook and screws inside have no rust. I have also cleaned the glass dome front inside and out. It has a dome glass face. This keeps perfect time. This is 7″ Square x 2″ Deep. The clock like all of these has loud tick silent tick function. To Start these clocks and this applies to all of these Metamec Bakelite clocks, there is a special starting mechanism. Although these are electric they are not like a modern clock as they are half electric and half mechanical. You pull the hour set nob down and release quickly and this may have to be done a couple of times to jolt the mechanical start. If loud tick is set to on you will here it ticking and there fore the clock has started. All these clocks are the very same. As you can see this absolutely fabulous clock is a real eye catcher and will invariably become the entire focus of your room. This is sure to attract a lot of comments from friends and visitors.
